At a private party back in 2003, Jesper, Martin and Claus were brought together. The acoustic guitar was passed around and it marked the birth of SURFACT. Niels and Jeppe completed the line-up and the ambitious, hard working band was on the rise.
After a successful demo release in 2005 and playing nearly one hundred gigs across Europe and the USA, SURFACT is currently recording their first studio album with UK producer Paul Schroeder (THE VERVE, STONE ROSES, THE UPPER ROOM). Their album is set for an October 2006 Denmark release and a worldwide release in 2007.
The band recently returned from the USA, where they played legendary venues like the Viper Room in Los Angeles and The Mercury Lounge in New York. It was on this trip that SURFACT recorded music videos for their first single “Make You Fail” and “Divine” which will be featured in the motion picture PEEL this summer 2006. SURFACT is currently the #1 band on Myspace in their home country of Denmark.
With the current hype and great timing, SURFACT is already making waves on their way to the top of the international rock scene.
